Renowned sound engineer George Forest was a Kumasi-based sound engineer who took over the music industry by storm during his days. The award-winning sound engineer passed on at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in 2016 after battling with an undisclosed illness.
His legacy as a sound engineer still lives, as he was able to produce many hit songs for Ghanaians using both gospel and secular artists.
George Forest has worked with a number of artists, such as Nana Acheampong, Akwesi Ampofo Adjei, Nana Aboagye Da Costa, Obaapa Christy, Gifty Osei, Ohemaa Mercy, and Philip Baafi, and has helped them produce many hit songs as a sound engineer.
It has almost been 8 years since Ghana lost such a great man in our music industry and a team from SeanCity TV led by Ruth has visited the son of the renowned sound engineer at Ntonso off Mampong road.
During their conversation, George Forest’s son alleged that some industry players had a hand in the death of his father.
He stressed that his father had been a unique sound engineer throughout his whole music career, and his talent was unmatched during his time and till now.
He believes no sound engineer nears his father’s legacy, and he is the best sound engineer Ghana has been blessed with in history.
