Stonebwoy is set to face charges for threats of physical assault on politician and entertainment personality Baba Sadiq.
Prior to the just-ended Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), there was a debate on two artists eyed to be crowned the Artiste of the Year at the night, which happened to be Stonebwoy and King Promise.
Many entertainment pundits had shared their views on the best artist to be crowned for the ultimate award on the night, and Baba Sadiq also expressed his view.
Baba Sadiq, on a live telecast, declared his support and love for King Promise as the best artist to be crowned as the winner, undermining Stonebwoy’s capabilities.
The statements from Baba Sadiq went viral, which seemed as a setback to Stonebwoy’s chances of winning the ultimate award. According to Baba Sadiq, Stonebwoy had called him to threaten him by physical assault over the comments he made about him and hanged up on him.
In a statement released by the Ghana Police, Baba Sadiq also indicated that Stonebwoy’s manager had physically attacked one of King Promise’s team members at the awards night.
