Renowned Ghanaian rapper and singer Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, widely referred to as Amerado, collapsed during a performance on stage.
Amerado, who recently enjoyed his stay in the United States of America, was set to perform at Baidoo Bonsoe Senior High Technical School. During the performance, Amerado was said to have collapsed on stage and was quickly rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
The unfortunate incident left the students devastated and short of joy and many said a prayer to the rapper for quick recovery. According to an observer at the scene, Amerado suffered some injuries after the tragic accident and many students were seen leaving the venue with disappointing faces.
Meanwhile, Amerado has been admitted at the Effia Nkwanta Government Hospital and is currently receiving treatment. The artist looks forward to grabbing some awards at this year’s edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards and he is currently promoting his new song, “Tintontin”.
