Ghanaian musician Captain Planet born Sylvanus Dodji Jeoffrey has called on the government of Ghana to do something about the emigration of the youth into western countries to seek for a better life. The artist made a post on his X handle to reveal how the youth are very eager to leave the country as he encountered many young people at the Canadian embassy in Ghana. Captain Planet felt that the government should have put measures in place avert the situation so as to make the ordinary Ghanaian enjoy his or her deserved life but it is not so. He disclosed that he bumped into a crowd at the Canadian embassy and wondered why they were there in their numbers but he strongly feels they have plans of exiting the country.
“Yesterday I saw a huge number of people at the Canadian embassy and I asked myself why all these young men/women leaving the country. This is something our leaders should be concerned about but like I said b4 “They don’t give a shit about you,” he shared.
Captain Planet, who has been an advocate for young people who travelled abroad to not return to Ghana again because the leaders of the country are selfish in his previous post. He has referred to the leaders of the country as indifferent of the plight of the people.
The Ghanaian youth have started their serious search of a better life in other foreign countries and this is targeted to affect the country’s economic as labour would reduce drastically.
