Ghanaian controversial artist DJ Azonto has gone contrary to the thoughts of many and said he is working on winning souls for Christ rather than giving them to satan.
The “Fa no fom” crowner has been criticized by many for being noisy and controversial but he responded that one of his aim is to win souls for Christ through his music.
DJ Azonto disclosed that he can use his music to win souls for Christ, and he will not perform on any stage that prevents him from singing gospel.
The Amapiano artist, who has been very vibrant in the music industry since his maiden hit song, “Fa no fom,” has overcome all odds with his controversial statement.
“I don’t have to establish a church to win souls for Christ. I can win souls for Christ through my music, and I am not going to perform on any stage where I won’t be allowed to sing gospel.
“I pray that God continues to bless me so I win souls for me. People have a very bad perception of my craft, but I am a God-fearing individual, and those around me will testify to that,” he disclosed.
He also opened up that he encourages all artists to have a positive impact on their followers but not be a symbol of evil deeds to them.
“Things are difficult, and we, the musicians, should inspire the youth to strive hard and achieve their dreams and not lead them into some kind of deviant behaviour.
“We musicians have a role to play in youth development, and we should shirk our responsibilities,” DJ Azonto said.
