The downfall of a man, they say, is not actually the end of life. Ghanaian UK-based gospel artist Sonnie Badu has shared his ordeal about how life showed him a bitter side upon his first arrival in the United Kingdom. The gospel artist has recounted how difficult it was to make ends meet for him while he was in the United Kingdom at the initial stages because he had no accommodation.
Sonnie Badu revealed that he was compelled to sleep in a vehicle often because he was really struggling in life. He also recounted how he used to steal food from neighbors in order to make ends meet because hunger could have killed him if he had not resorted to that act.
The renowned gospel artist disclosed that his difficult moments made him question God’s existence, and he prayed to God to turn around his table for him.
“I have struggled in life, I was homeless in London so I had to sleep in a car for a while. Sometimes I had to walk in the cold for five hours at night. At some point I would wait for the people to leave then I would steal some food items from their fridge. I questioned God over my predicament and asked him to bless him to sing.
“I used to minister to pastors and they will use you without giving anything. I was struggling to feed myself, it was not easy at all,” Sonnie Badu said in a viral video spotted by Ghanasongs Graphics.
