Kuami Eugene has descended on Ghanaian music duo Dope Nation after their reply on a post shared by Kuami Eugene on his X handle.

The 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) experience at the Grand Arena was one of the greatest since the inception of the award scheme, after which many people have commended the organizers for the good work done.

The change of Vodafone to Telecel did not significantly affect the awards scheme or the events, even though a lot of artists have had issues with some artists winning undeserved awards.

Kuami Eugene seemed not to have been satisfied with the awards he took home that night and made a certain comment on X, which has generated criticism of him.

Even though Kuami Eugene took two awards, which were the Best Highlife Artist of the Year and Best Music Video, he still had something to say.

Kuami Eugene posted, “The music industry is not how the fans see it. It’s a bloody game now. People will do anything and pull any string for validation. Ay3 tan!!!!!!”

This post by the artist sparked a lot of debate and suggestions from fans in the comment section, but however, one comment that made Kuami Eugene repost around his statements was when Dope Nation reposted his statements and captioned it, “See the kettle calling the pot black!”.

The caption by Dope Nation seemed to have struck a nerve in Kuami Eugene after seeing their post, which also forced him to make another post to hit hard on the music duo.

Kuami Eugene posted again, “If #TGMA didn’t recognize you as an artist, don’t come and waste my time. Gbohe rappers!!”

Kuami Eugene fired this shot at Dope Nation for their rude response to his post after the TGMA awards. However, Dope Nation has yet to fully respond to Kuami Eugene’s statements.
